These farmers do not just grow hemp, but have integrated hemp into their sustainable food farms that play a key role in supporting local food systems.

While large monocrops of hemp have sprung up across the country, Family Farms Hemp Company is unique in that we only sell hemp grown on certified organic farms that are growing food crops in addition to hemp. Our hemp is hand harvested, trimmed, and handled with the same level of care a home gardener would use for their family’s harvest.

Our vision is that hemp can help support family farms that are part of larger sustainable local food systems critical to reducing our carbon footprint and transitioning to a more sustainable future. We are passionate about hemp, but believe that food farms shouldn’t be sacrificed for any single crop. Growing hemp in rotation with other diverse organic food crops not only improves soil health, minimizes plant pests, protects pollinators and sequesters carbon, but it also helps us grow some of the best hemp on the market that’s free of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.  

Our “mother farm” has been growing hemp in Oregon since 2015 as an important part of a diverse organic herb and vegetable farm committed to regenerative farming. As one of the most respected organic herb farms in the U.S., we were one of the first in the country to receive organic certification for our award winning hemp and we are accustomed to meeting the strictest growing and processing requirements by federal and state regulators.
