We don’t just work with family farmers growing hemp, we are family farmers that have been growing high-quality hemp for years. From meeting strict compliance with state and federal regulations, to ensuring our products meet our customers’ high standards for quality, we have the experience and background to be your commercial hemp provider.

Our “Mother Farm,” Oshala Farm, is owned by our Farmer in Chief and Owner, Jeff Higley, and his wife Elise. Over the last seven years Oshala Farm has grown into one of the largest organic herb producers in the country. Oshala grows and dries more than 70 different herbs that comply with the strictest organic production and testing standards while promoting regenerative farming practices that go beyond “organic.”

Family Farms Hemp Company’s only works with professional organic farmers that have integrated high CBD hemp into established organic family farms. While many people today have recently jumped into growing hemp, there is a real value in working with farmers that have the experience and professionalism that comes with having decades of farming experience.

Why “Family Farms Hemp Company?” For small family farmers, managing day to day farming operations is a full-time task that can leave little time to build relationships with clients that share our passion for agriculture that is sustainable not only in terms of land, water, and ecological values, but agriculture that helps support local community food systems and workers. By working together, however, we can provide a high-quality and reliable organic hemp source for those seeking hemp that is “beyond organic."

Our goal is not to provide the lowest price hemp on the market, but to provide hemp at a price fair to the buyer and farmer alike. Along with a high quality product, buyers get a reliable partner that can help your brand succeed using organic hemp and a farming philosophy that celebrates the benefits of CBD and sustainable farming.  While our focus in 2019 is focused on CBD-related products, we anticipate our 2020 efforts will expand to both hemp fiber and seed.
